Perhaps everyone's already seen this but I've just now stumbled upon it by mere chance. A Dutch “Keeping Up Appearances parody:

Magic !It's the Dutch accent that sets it apart from everything else. I honesty wasn't even aware that one could create a parody of a (already) comedy! To turn a joke into a joke?!

To turn a joke into a joke?! It's actually very clever. You have to be a connoisseur of Hyacinth In order to appreciate It.

I'd never seen this before, so thanks for sharing.

Besides you and I, I wonder how many others there are?

I've always believed that what made Hyacinth and Co so endearing to a nations was that we all recognised someone like her and the characters within.

I ceratinly recognise my late sister In Hyacinth and her husband as Onslow right down to some of the expressions she used. ' Mind my wallpaper' was typcial of my Sister along with ' What will Daddy think ?'.

We all know and love someone like Hyacinth. I'd love to have seen a full length feature film of her.

Hyacinth & Onslow. Yes, that fits. They dance so well together!

I've never had much of an insight to Hyacinth till I just now saw an “Out take video. What a charming lady!

I seem to remember Patricia Routledge was on Have I Got News For You - absolutely nothing like the character she portrays. In a way I think it's a pity she's become typecast as Hyacinth.

She was noted for other characters such as ' Hetty Winthrope Investigates'.

We all had a snigger over that also given my Mother was Henrietta and ' Hetty' to her friends.

"Hetty Wainthropp Investigates". Never heard of it before so I'm having a look. I'm into the first 3 minutes of "Childs play": My she answer the phone in the same old way doesn't she! Can't miss her!

No, my husbands new drugs make him light sensitive so we can't have full watt lightbulbs. They're all low watt but I've now got one of those lights that sits on your laptop.

Is it painful to the eyes or does it cause headaches? Are shaded glasses no help?

I'm half way through the Pilot (Missing Persons) at the moment. I'm afraid that so far I've found it pretty mind numbingly boring.

"Hetty Wainthropp Investigates"? As I say, now 3/4 through Child's Play. Over-dramatic and contrived.
