I'm currently working on an idea for a new Lght-Hearted Medley for the choir.
Basically, the idea is to have a whole chain of short Nursery Rhymes, BUT with a common linking theme from one to the next.
My plan is that when the end of each one the last bar is repeated, ad lib, while the conductor looks ponderous until he hits on a stroke of inspiration & leads into the next.
A a couple of examples of what I've got so far...
"Oranges & Lemons", ending with "Say the great bells of Bow".
Think, think, think... Ahh...
"Little Bo Peep...", followed by "Little Boy Blue", etc.
and...
"Rain Rain Go Away", followed by "I Hear Thunder".
Hopefully I might be able to do it so that it goes full circle (a bit like "There's A Hole In My Bucket").
Now, the question is, can you come up with any Nursery Rhymes with links from the end of one to the beginning of the next. I'm not looking for a theme linking them all - I already have that in the Nursery Rhyme Theme - just from one to the next, and the next, etc.

I tried to input and kept getting pushed out of FG.
One more time....
Rain, rain go away...
follow it with Istpy bitty spider....who crawled up the rain spout.
Then Hush Little Baby as to calm the spider....or you could add Little Miss Muffet who had a spider come down beside her.
I would like to suggest
Hush Little Baby...don't say a word...
Anyway that's my two cents!

Actually, I'm well into the arrangement at the moment. The chain I've come up with is...
Ding Dong Bell (Pussy's down the well)
Oranges & Lemons (Obvious connection, ending with "Great Bells of Bow")
Little "Bo" Peep (ending with "Wagging their 'Tails' behind them")
3 Blind Mice ("Cut off their tails with a carving knife")
3 Little Kittens Have Lost Their Mittens (Ending with "We shall have no pie")
Georgy Porgy Pudding & Pie (Ending with "Georgy Porgy ran 'away'")
Little Miss Muffet ("Eating her Curds & 'Whey' - Ending with the Spider)
Eensy Weensy Spider ("Down came the rain")
Rain Rain Go Away
I Hear Thunder (Ending "I'm wet through. So are you")
The Owl & The Pussycat (Connection of water ... went to sea)
Ending with......
Ding Dong Bell (Pussy's Down The Well).
Of course, only the shortest of these will go the full length, only using the 1st verse.
It's all intended to be very light hearted, and a bit of comedy, with the conductor (over)acting out thinking for a link, followed by a moment of inspiration before moving onto the next one.
I've just finished the vocals to Georgy Porgy thus far. The piano accompaniment goes in last - although with what I've got so far, I reckon it could be done a capella.
