So after being diverted from Toronto to Oklahoma for the weekend, I am now sitting at Tulsa Airport, waiting for United to take me home from Beautiful downtown Tulsa.

They have a the PA system set up here so travelers can "program" the music played in the airport. You can bring your CD, or MP3 player, or USB stick, and upload your favorite music to the system, and listen to it on the PA.

My observation, so far - Travelers in Tulsa have horrible musical tastes.

So far, I have heard somebody who sounds like Mick Jagger doing country and Western covers, and something like Rod Stewart covering Stevie Wonder, and now the Village People, which actually comes as a relief.

I am hoping this idea does not spread to other airports any time soon.

Next time I come here, though, I plan to bring my Captain Beefheart collection, or perhaps Firesign Theatre. Maybe Frank Zappa. Yeah! THAT's the ticket.

(Oh GREAT, they just started up what appears to be the Bee Gee's soundtrack from that John Revolting Disco movie. AAUUUGGGGGHHHH!)

Or an evil sense of humour ?

I think it would be selfish to inflict my choice of music on a captive audience.

You could always try something like this (something I either saw in this forum or in my previous one) - bloke caught overnight in Las Vegas airport decides to make a music video on his iPhone. Overall a very prefessionally made video, as well as being very entertaining.:

Well, if you lived here you'd be home by now.

That's hard to believe. I mean, how can you be two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?

You must live in sector "R". Nobody goes up into the hills any more.

Let's ask the president, if he and Bottles aren't giving a lecture at More Science High School again.
