I can't put this anywhere else... Members may see It.
I really don't know whether to laugh or wring his neck.
So, Thursday night, the Party had a Committee meeting and my husband who Is not as Involved as everyone else got roped In, against his will, to take the minutes.
There was actually a lot to discuss .... all to do with supporting or not supporting a Key figure In calling for an Extraordinary General Meeting with the Chairman.. but I digress.
So the Committee meeting starts and I remind my husband he must note who said what and who voted for what or not as the case may be.
The last notes he took when he got roped In, he did In fact do a Sterling Job and I had every confidence In him doing the same. I felt safe he was taking notes as we talked for 3 hours.... he seemed to be writing something down.
Today, I get his notes out In order to type up the Minutes to e mail to Committee members and what do I find? Detailed notes of who suggested what and what was decided? No
His notes consisted only of :
" Piffle and waffle"
" More Piffle and waffle".
" Some bloke I don't know waffled for half an hour" I don't know what the **** he's talking about.
" More Waffle and Piffle "
" Still don't know what they're talking about"
" More waffle and piffle"
" I really want to go home "
" More Piffle and waffle"
" Thank God that's over".
He's sacked !!!!!!

His explanation Is that he didn't have a clue what we were talking about because It was Internal stuff and not Party Policy as It was last time.
He said he couldn't remember the names of the Committee members to note who said what.
He didn't understand It all so he claims he did the best he could...
Thankfully, I have a good memory and can remember who said what.
You gotta laugh though.

I'm dreading November... I have to take minutes at a General meeting where most of the talking will be done by the Chairman. No disrespect to anyone living In Newcastle, but I can't understand a bloody word he says.
