US technology giant Apple has reported the biggest quarterly profit ever made by a public company.
Its phones aren't that bad but, shouldn't they pay a fair bit of their tax ?
iN Apple's case, 60% of its profits are managed through three businesses based in Ireland where tax rates and the "double Irish" mechanism mean that companies can reduce their tax liabilities.

In my town we gave Boeing $40 million dollars to stay here and create jobs. They left the next year and now no jobs. Then we gave Bombardier (Learjet) $25 million to develop a jet here and create jobs, then they laid off 630 workers. And they pay no property taxes on their buildings or land.
