Darwin Day this year was historic. The Darwin Day Resolution—expressing support for February 12 as a celebration of science and humanity—was introduced not just in the House by Rep. Jim Himes, but in the Senate by Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
This resolution does more than simply recognize Darwin Day—it’s a substantive resolution that bolsters the teaching of evolution in public schools and stands strong against climate change deniers.
Let’s keep our elected officials paying attention to science and humanism.

I agree with the sentiment (although I opened the thread assuming it related to the Darwin Awards

) but what do the bills propose to actually do - how do they propose to achieve their aim?

I think the idea is to just get politicians (and the public) used to Evolution. Advance it wherever and whenever it can be.

I wonder if Creationists get to celebrate the Monkey Trials instead.
