While at one time I had credit cards coming out of my ears I am at the point in my life where I only need one credit card with a fairly high limit. I have this particular card because there are no Foreign Transaction Fees. The card has cash back features for certain purchases, no annual or monthly fees and I pay the amount due every month so no interest charges.

I got caught up in the spiral of Credit Card Debt back in the Thatcher Regime & have made certain never to fall into that trap again. The only reason I got the Credit Card in the first place was that I needed to get my Credit Rating repaired because, at that time, it was difficult enough to even get a phone installed without a Credit Rating. Ever since I got my card my Credit Limit has steadily been going up, while my balance remains at £4.68c.

Sounds a lot like us.

We never really used those cards and then they became useless.

Now days I hardly carry any cash at all.

Pay most of everything by credit card.

Not to mention the fraction of a dollar is kicked back for Amazon purchases.

It adds up.

A cashless society. Gotta love it.

Technically speaking, banknotes are not even cash. They're IOUs for Gold. In the U.K., at least, you will see the words on every banknote "I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of....". Digital IOUs - New Twist - Old System.

One , occasionally I want to buy things on line or buy large electrical items the consumer credit act offers quite a lot of protection in the UK.

I have one secured Credit card for use when making Hotel or rental car reservations. Other than that, I figure that If I don't have the cash to pay for something, I don't really need it.

Although I never use my Credit Card, I use my Debit Card for nearly everything, or PayPal for as much as possible when it comes to Online Trading. At least that way you don't get into debt.

I normally use one for painting business and personal one is only for emergencies.

When buying materials for lgc decorators it gives me enough time to pay off the cards later.

I have one, but use none. I originally got one to repair my credit rating after Thatcher destroyed the economy, but have never used it & have remined about £5 in Credit with it. It's the same way with my Jacamo account. More often than not I pay for purchases by Debit Card when I make them. Otherwise I pay off the entire balance way before it's due, making sure to remain about £10 in Credit.

I have 3 and use 2 of them. One for most purchases because I get air miles and AX because Costco doesn't accept the other one. I'm a single woman, travel a lot and I don't like to carry cash.
