I think I have discovered what is wrong with the world.

After hearing the size of the Mayweather Pacquiao takings and their earnings for that single bout. HERE

I considered the post by Saint about his Game collection and looked up the value of the Gaming Industry HERE

So while we are all watching sports and playing games, the two being our modern day 'opium of the people' or 'bread and circuses' the modern day patricians, the bankers and ruling elite are robbing us blind, to mix yet another metaphor, we are all fiddling while our various Romes burn............and then there is the real drugs.

It all started with that new fangled television, chewing gum for the eyes they called it, that took people away from the real world and replaced it with the likes of Coronation Street - there are even people who believe that Eastenders is true

No no it started with the printing press.

But seriously, there is something that the majority of the population spend far too much money and time doing for no decent purpose other than to feed a sort of addiction.

For some it is football or boxing, for some it's Film or gaming. And to service these needs multi million pound corporations grow larger and richer.

When it comes to television, you are so right on.

My problem isn't with events, but with the typical moranical evening fare.

In any event no reason those who supply desired entertainment should not profit.

Like the religion of Apple do you mean ?

I am sure they would take tithes off devotees, but have found over pricing works just as well.

My daughters dad commented yesterday at how young the graduates looked at a band banquet we were attending. His daughter explained to him that the high school kids he sees on TV are really in their twenties and that this was what REAL teenagers should look like..lol Cracked me up!
