I typed a long post, but lost it when I went to submit.



Let me just ask my question:



What would you do if a supposedly straight friend, whom you don't see much in person any more (Due to losing his job, $$$ factors) but text sporadically specifically about sports, sends a text to you from his phone at 1:30 AM on a work night (I get up at 5:30 AM) saying:



"I am gay and I like little boys."



1. Do you think he actually sent it?

2. If not, what is the profile of the person who would text that on his phone to a person whom they do not know (I don't know many of his current friends)?



My friendship with this person is mostly through our hobby, and I wrote him the next day complaining about his friends texting me from his phone waking me up at 1:30 AM. I did not mention the content of the text in my email the next day.



I heard no response to my email, as of yet.

Your opening post posing such a question is almost as mysterious as the text sent to you.

What do you suggest my opening post should be, in order to fall into line with your world?

Why do you leave your phone on when you are going to be asleep - especially if you know it will wake you? I too get up at 5.30 but I turn my phone off.

I would ask him if he actually sent it - just as you have - then wait and see what he sys before deciding anything further.

Odd question to be asking

Surely there must be a phone number quoted as the sender of the text. Do you not have a list of your contacts' phone numbers that you can check through and put a name to the quoted number?

Your friend left his phone where someone else could get it and post a prank message on it.

First of all you said you complained to him about his friends texting you. You are, therefore, saying that it wasn't him in the first place.

Secondly, if you don't want to be disturbed, do like I do. Either leave the phone in another room or turn it off all together. What are you doing taking it to bed with you.

Yes that confused me a little bit - I always thought that 'Gays' preferred big boys ! (adults !) LOL
