I purchased one of those Keurig coffee machines and also a Keurig Cappuccino machine. Since then, my son, who describes himself as a Coffee Snob, made me the most enjoyable cup of coffee I've ever had. He uses a French Press, which sells for a lot less than my Keurig machines. Now that's all I use, my $17.00 French Press Coffee Maker.

Anyone else use a French Press?

It's a cafetiere around these parts, no don't use one of those, too many coffee grinds to deal with after and the coffee is never hot enough.

I use a Bosch Tassimo for a cappuccino once a day. My daughter uses it for lattes when the mood takes.

I need to learn how to use an Italian coffee maker before October.

Yes, the used coffee grinds can be messy but I think it's worth the extra work.

I boil the water before I pour it into the press and it only needs to sit for about five minutes so it's plenty hot for me (though I do prefer to allow my coffee to cool a bit).

I enjoy cappuccino and latte very much but the dairy is a problem for me weight wise and gives me indigestion in my later years I notice.

I used to buy beans and grind them as I wanted them,now I buy ground beans.

I boil water pour over the coffee grounds, and almost immediately plunge, pour and drink, black no sugar.

Why should it be any more complicated than that ?

I never drank coffee, I still resort to diet coke on those long winter days when I have to shovel my way out the door to work....

Have you tried any milk substitutes for your added flavor, there are many kinds available today. I think if I drank coffee I would add dark chocolate almond milk to it.

Just plain old milk for me, Ahso could try that almond milk though as a dairy replacement

I have a sweet tooth, but I like my coffee without sugar or any flavouring that will make it sweet. The best cappuccinos I had were out in Spain, at least they tasted of coffee unlike the weak stuff they present you over here.

There used to be a coffee shop in Southampton - I don't mean a coffee shop where you could pop in for a cuppa, but a shop that specialised in various blends of coffee. It had a big red coffee oven in the window which had a big drum that would slowly revolve, evenly roasting the beans on a low heat throughout the day. The aroma was divine & could be smelt from several streets away. The different types of beans would then be ground to different grades of coarseness & blended to order.
