EU, the beginning of the end ?

First it was all about a potential Brexit from the EU, while recently attention has turned to the possibility of a Grexit. But now there is talk of another rebellion with Austria to debate the possibility of having an EU In/Out referendum, after an anti-Europe petition gained widespread public support.
Lots of unrest, where will it end ?

Hopefully with whoever is actually running the EU figuring out a way to keep the union together and all of the member states happy with the idea.
Looks like they have a lot of work to do.

Theoretically the member states run the whole thing, but there is a feeling each country are losing sovereignty to outsiders.
It's like being a member of a club and the other members are always out voting your lone voice.
How can 28 disparate member states agree anything when families can't ?

Good question, Bruv. I, personally, think that the EU is on it's way out. It was tried, and it hasn't worked has it ? Also, I believe that Germany are busy printing Deutschmarks (now why are they doing that?), and maybe other main EU countries are printing up their original currencies. So methinks that several EU countries must feel that the EU is approaching it's death throes. The whole thing was a fiddle anyway, as it was supposed to be a Common Market, not a political union of masses of countries !
I suppose it ran for quite a long time (about 22 years), time to test run it ! Time to call it a day I think, and get rid of the awful un-elected committee that are supposed to be running the EU.

Only too true, Bruv! How DO you amalgamate all those different cultures into a unified,viable whole? Europe was probably stronger as it was when a 'common market'.

Part of this growing unrest is related to Schengen, most people are conservative with a small c, so any major disruption to the norm or even an imagined disruption is feared, and resisted.
