There is an organization in New York called The Jets, they're either a rock and roll ensemble from the sixties or players of a sport which involves a ball.

Jets bringing their own to toilet paper to London because “why not? | ProFootballTalk

I'm puzzled by a number of aspects.

A 60s rock and roll outfit - or a sports team - needs an entourage of 220 people?

It knows London's sewers require thin toilet paper so it deliberately brings outsized J-cloth-style diaper-constituency handfuls of bumwipe to block the drains?

The older I get the more confusing the world appears.

Someone tell them to at least bring their own condoms - those sold in London shops are significantly larger than what's needed in America. I'm just being helpful.

Now THAT is the sort of topic I have been waiting for, so I can immerse myself in FG again.

Right....................who 'knows' our sewers require thin toilet paper ? We had sewers when other countries were piling it in the street.

What is the most puzzling to me is why do they call themselves Pro footballers, and why The Dolphins and why The Jets, it would appear they need an ego boost, isn't the amount of money they earn enough for them ? And mostly.......why are they flying to England to play anyway, that's not very professional, and it's not even real football.

One must also ask what is it about American ****e and it's delivery chute that requires a larger wipe, and finally..........how come somebody with the nom de plume Ahso knows so much about small English penises and has a handy video riposte at hand?

A rhetorical question is a question that you ask without expecting an answer. The question might be one that does not have an answer. It might also be one that has an obvious answer but you have asked the question to make a point, to persuade or for literary effect.

Learning this, I am thankful never needing to work with British TP.

Overall this falls under the classifacation of TMI.

All that said,

I have learned that in Mexico that plumbing does not allow for flushing of TP so they put buckets next to the toilets for disposal.

How did I learn this you ask?

I will tell you.

I've worked with plenty of recent immigrants from Mexico. Some can be told over and over just to flush the TP, but if there is no bucket they'll just throw in on the floor.

Best I can figure it is an act of defiance reflecting national pride.

On a point of information, if you enter any google domain with the suffix /ncr it will stick to what you asked for instead of redirecting to a local variant, wherever you are in the world.

so... USA or UK or Australia or Germany, etc.

"No Country Redirect".

I was hoping it would be a useful addition to a Google search. For example, I'm currently looking for stockists of 5XL Motorcycle Helmets (or larger), if I Google "5xl helmet uk ncr", for instance, I still get all the foreign ones, only with "Missing: uk ncr" at the bottom of the resulting links.

Google UK will then give you foreign URLs anyway. If you want UK suppliers of 5xl helmets, try copying the next line into a google search box... the punctuation is relevant, so a copy/paste is more likely to make my point.

I'm not sure I'm even understanding what you're saying.

What is the difference between typing Google and Google ? Whenever I do it it just removes the suffix anyway - probably defaulting to the root index file. Surely the /ncr would simply direct the browser to open the root index file from another subfolder (ie ./ncr/index.php), etc.?

If you're in the UK then there's no difference. You were already in the UK. If you try, for example, the German Google with /ncr after it then you'd expect to see a difference if you're in the UK, and so it is: google.de/ncr

Once Google Germany sees you're accessing that subfolder it knows you don't want a country redirect, so it doesn't give you one, so you stay in Germany.
