David Cameron has vowed to devote much of his time in office to "an all-out assault on poverty", in his speech to the Conservative Party conference.

The prime minister, who will stand down before the next election, said he wanted to tackle "deep social problems" and boost social mobility.

The Eton and Oxford educated Prime Minister who has just cut benefits to the poorest while cutting tax to the richest.

Or should the wording have been; "An all-out assault ON the poor"? As regards the 'deep social problems', he would know, after all, his genocidal party has caused many of 'em!

I can see me voting Labour next time, if only to get rid of these jaded, arrogant, callous tory monsters!

Imagine you're a reporter, and you happen across Cameron drowning in a river, you also have your expensive, non-waterproof camera with you.

You have a dilemma.

Colour, or black and white?

I read that an " affordable starter homes" cost upwards of £450,000 in London.

Well as he told us at the beginning of austerity, " we're all in this together "

Tossers the lot of them

And he says they need to build more houses, I read somewhere there are a million vacant dwellings in the country, suspect they are run down or in locations where large firms have folded, or in the hands of speculative private hands bought as people struggled to pay. Meanwhile the bankers bonuses are subsidised by the government........and it is happening in slow motion in front of our very eyes, who would believe we (being whoever voted em in) could be so stupid ?

And they have the 'brass face' to insist on 50% of union members voting for strike action before it becomes legal, yet claim they have a mandate to govern the UK on 33% of the electorate? I hate (yes, I do mean HATE!) them with a passion!! Why couldn't the entire tory party have been on flight MH 370 when it went down?

:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl I thought it was just me on the forum that felt like that and have refrained from commenting not wanting to be seen as a grumpy scot muttering in to his porridge. I hjave despised them dince the thatchere years.

I was wrong about camneron though, thought it would take him a week before he renaged on the vow he and clegg made during the independence referendum in fact it only took him half a day.

This is the worst 'incarnation' of this elitist gang of cutthroats and mountebanks that I can remember. The problem we now have in England is that the Labour party is effectively no more in Scotland (thanks to it's underhanded, and decidedly un-ethical conduct, to say the least), the tories (a pox on their house) have no effective opposition, and we could be stuck with 'em for years. I wouldn't worry about being anti-tory GMC, you certainly won't score minus points from me (I've never forgiven them for their 80's fiascos, for signing Maastricht, or letting the Falklands happen amongst many other things way too numerous to name)!!

The tories may have deliberately fostered the discontent in Scotland, knowing that there was a strong chance that if the Labour party was effectively removed from there, that it will be incredibly difficult for Labour to unseat the tories on the remaining vote, thus

'short-circuiting' the electoral process here. Why does this not surprise me?

With the emergence of the many terrorist threats, not to mention a militant Russia, how long until the w&nk3rs declare a 'state of emergency' and suspend the general election 'in the interests of national security'?

Come on GMC, 'come clean'! I'll bet you've got a secret 'soft spot' for the tory party.......On Rannoch Moor!!

Think I'll apply for a place on the Mars Mission....

This is Ham-Moron's idea of building more properties:

https://sweetswayresists.wordpress.com/

Sell off a perfectly good Council Estate, with a thriving Community - physically (yes, physically) evict the residents - carrying out a wheelchair bound person from his home, only to leave him homeless, living in the back of his car. These are not slum dwellings. These are perfectly decent properties that are only about 30 years old (if that) to a Private Property Developer (Annington) so that they can demolish the homes so as to build some Luxury Apartments. Very affordable housing - I don't think!!

I wonder how much of a bung Annington 'donated' to the Conservative Party? Or how the CEO might be related to Cameron. Or which school the CEO went to. Or if he likes Pork.

Don't forget they are about to privatise the housing associations.

People forget they are idealogically opposed to any kind of socialist policies, given half a chance the welfare state will be sold off to private health companies - working hospitals complete with highly trained staff going cheap, forget social housing the privater sector can deal with it let the feckless poor get a decent job if they're noty happy.

Morning Star :: Ministers Plot Rent Rises to Squeeze out Social Tenants

Two points

1) why not get cpmpanies to pay a fair share of tax

2) If you are liviing in rented accomodation your chances of being able to save enough for a deposit are remote to zero. Thank you gordom brown you complete ********
