My Grandson kept changing the music with his phone.
It wasn't until later, as I was admiring an arty lamp and asked what sort of bulb it was, and where the sound was coming from, when he told me all about where the music that had entertained us was really coming from.
The music was from spotify and it was playing through..............wait for it......the light bulb.
They have light bulbs that now can, by the wonder of Bluetooth and Internet music hosts play music.............nobody else could believe it either...............but it's true.
Playbulb........And there are others Ebay

Pretty interesting. I think I could find a use for such a do-dad. The changing colors, though, would be a bit much.

The one he had wasn't colour changing, it was for all intents and purpose an ordinary bulb other than the music it magically broadcast.
Perfect for bathrooms

There's the proper ones, then there's the cheap Chinese versions. Are they a reasonable sound quality ?

My living room light takes three bulbs. That might make an interesting soundstage

Yes I would say so,obviously no tweeter and woofers but fair enough for back ground music, not tinny or noticeably from such a small source.

I can imagine it being a short term fad for gadget junkies, but tbh I can't see it having much of a long term appeal.
