It must be a breath of fresh air listening to Bernie Sanders speak. He's a good speaker. Everything Trump is not. Trump makes a lot of noise and says a lot of words, without actually saying anything. Not of any value anyway.

It would sad, in my opinion, if Sanders was thought of as a "wasted vote". It sounds like he's got much to offer, to particularly, those that need it most. Honest politics if that's not an oxymoron

We think like Brits, don't know if the Yanks have evolved that far yet...............it would be funny if it were not true.

We have NOT evolved that far yet...........if Bernie, whose opinions I share, becomes the democratic nominee, he will be crucified as a communist. That's how stupid we are. Yesterday, I had a conversation with a woman who blames the defunct for decades Black Panthers for the ills of society. I felt like a moron after I politely set her straight. Facts don't change people's minds. My dilemma is how I keep my sanity surrounded by idiots and still have pleasant relations with the population.

I don't know much about American Politics, but I know that Bernie Sanders has Jeremy Corbyn's support. That's good enough for me.

That has been the challenge for decades, I believe.

I am liking Bernie, more and more.

I don't care if the morons who have been wheezing on about our current president being Muslim, and Kenyan, and all that start in on Bernie being a Commie. If he gets into the WH, and he can handle it, I am sure that I can deal with it.

Meanwhile, I've finally given up on the Republican Party. To toy with the Titanic analogy, While they have been busy arguing over how to arrange the deck chairs, I am joining the women and children in a lifeboat.

It doesn't help Bernie here that (gasp!) Europeans are supporting him.

PS--doesn't help him to be a Jew, either, since in many minds Jew is synonymous with 'COMMIE'. Oh, & we're also Capitalist Pigs for owning everything & controlling Hollywood (the media). Bernie is not religious, so the Evangelicals won't give him a pass.

Voting for Bernie in the General is like voting for McGovern or Dukakis. I have real uneasy feelings.

74 is old & his wife (though I find her lovely) is no Melania Trump, more like Mamie Eisenhower. That goes in the "Americans are Shallow & want to be Kardashian" category.

Where is she, I forgot. If she is in a caucus state, that's the right terminology. If she's in Iowa, she completed her caucusing & can move onto supporting him by working for his campaign.

Well, first of all, it's a given that a Democrat (Left) will win the election. The Right is completely unglued and insane this year. So it's either him or Hillary. I think he has a real chance . Why? Because I am beginning to like him and think of him as a possibility....and I have always, always, known who will win a Presidential election.

Problemm seems to me (speaking as an outsider) is that political dialogue in the US about the power corporations and big money should have has been so stultified anyone challenging it is dosmissed as a left wing lunatic without being given a hearing. Issues like access to medical care ofr all regardless of wealth who in theo right mind thinks that is a bad idea? Same with issues like climate change how anyone can reasonably believe those who advocate doing something is a conspiracy to destroy the american economy beggars belief.

In your opinion it's a given. In reality, it's not.

What about ted cruz how likely is it america will become a theocracy if christian fundamentalists have their way?

Used to read US sci fi where the basic premise was that religious right had taken control always thought it a bit daft. Now I'm not so sure. Forty years ago If you'd asked me if there would be the rise of religious warfare in the 21st century I'd have said probably not.

Good point. I've never been wrong in 55 years, but times certainly are a'changin'. The German people, a people steeped in centuries of religion, technologically proficient, and politically savvy... only took ten years to go straight to Hell.

I feel the Bern too, AFTR, but I don't think he can win the General. I'm sticking with Hillary. I think she can deliver. Bern's from my neighborhood, btw. He was hanging around recently.

In scotland the leaders of the main parties are all female and all from glasgow. Women have always been a driving force in social change but they get little credit for it. I've always wondered why mysoginists are so frightened of self confident women. Hillary os part ofn the political establishment is she not? from what I;ve seem bernie is very bad at putting across what he means by being a socialist
