Broadcaster Terry Wogan was honoured by HRM Queen Elizabeth in her official Birthday Honours list published on Friday.

County Limerick born Terry Wogan receives a Knighthood. :-6





His BBC Radio 2 weekday Breakfast Show ''Wake Up with Wogan'' is the most listened show in the UK.



He said, '' I'm surprised and delighted that Her Majesty has given me this honour. I hope I can prove worthy of it''.



Sir Terry Wogan jouned the BBC in 1967. He has also presented the BBC's live coverage of the European Song Contest.
