Junior Minks got married this weekend, it was a beautiful outdoor ceremony at a quaint country hall. Amazing people, both family and friends. Amazing weather, food, booze, dancing, camping and just beautiful memories all around.

I hope you are a nice mother in law.

I am a nice mother in law, and am pretty sure the new son in law would agree. .... He and my daughter have lived with us for 3 years now lol.

Oh I don't know about the granny part lol, these 2 are on the fence about babies.

My congratulations on the good taste shown by your son-in-law, he obviously recognizes the ideal mother-in-law when he sees one.

Patsy it was not so simple, there were a lot of things to set up and do, but the ceremony was set out in a lovely simplistic way overlooking a beautiful valley, the sun shone, the grass and trees were green and beautiful.

I did give a speech, short with a bit of gentle humor, and a bit of sentiment, and a whole lot of pride.

2 days before the wedding unfortunately, the groom was robbed and injured at a liquor store, someone mugged him, wacked him in the head with a hammer and took off with his beers. The poor boy got himself to the hospital and after xrays found he had 5 fractures in his face. My daughter wanted the wedding to be postponed, but the groom said no. Word was out to all family members and friends that we needed to rally and complete all the props and decorations and boy oh boy we pulled it off. Groom did well, and thanks to pain killers and protein drinks he was in good spirits and looked pretty good. The weather miraculously turned from a cold rainy Friday to a pleasingly warm sunny Saturday. I am certain the minister did some real special praying for these 2.

we killed the bad juju for this wedding by telling him he was not worthy of walking his own daughter down the aisle. Her stepfather did instead.... and guess what. lol.... he (sperm donator) and none of his family came soooo it was beyond joyous it was splendid lol

yes some weddings are not all rosy and joyous.

And very proper too, you sound like you managed things wonderfully. Having seen you in action I'm not even slightly surprised.
