Lets talk about movies,, what god movies have you watched lately that you would recommend?, what would you NOT recommend? :-3

Do you have a fave movie you watch over again?, or fave actor/actress you like to watch.

I love Denzel Washington and always enjoy a movie if he is in it, the most recent one i watched was Fences. It was quite good, not the normal type of movie he is in,, or I should say not the normal type of character he plays.His character in this movie is in fact quite unlikable. It was a food thought provoking film though.

Ones i will watch no matter how often i have seen them ,, if they happen to come on tv i will watch them again :wah: Long Kiss Goodnight, a ridiculously over the top far fetched action movie with Geena Davis, Love Actually, Avatar, Pitch perfect.... all easy watching movies really.

I do like most kinds of genre except horror, i like a thriller, like Bone collector or seven etc,, but not the sort of slasher horror types.

I like Denzel, too.

I enjoy the characters he plays.

Some of my favorites of his have been

Deja Vu, Philadelphia, Glory, Cry Freedom, Malcolm X, For Queen and Country,...

I enjoy the old movies, a lot. Last night we watched 'To Be or Not to Be', with Jack Benny.

I just watched it on Netflix Monday Night and I can't stop thinking about those folks.

my hubby wanted to watch The Great Wall so i got it on a few days ago,,,omg:yh_rotfl I lasted about ten minutes and had to leave the room, i couldnt even stay in the room and read or something while it was on,, what a pile of even the graphics were awful the scenery looked like a painted canvas they would have in a theatre :wah:

talking about theatres,, I am finally going to the theatre this week for the first time in ages with my daughter to see Cinderella by the Royal Birmingham Ballet,, I cant wait :yh_dance

I am a Quentin Terantino fan myself

One of my favorites of his was Django. I also really enjoyed The Hateful Eight.

I think my all time Favorite Movie, Kill Bill.

I am a big fan of Samuel L Jackson. I think he's a great actor.

Jamie Fox is as well.

I watched this the other day and i did find it interesting, but im still not quite sure what exactly they achieved in the end? to bring humanity together? I maybe should not have watched it while also doing the ironing !

I havent watched Django yet, i have Hateful Eight on my computer which we may watch while we are away for a few days shortly

I watched "I, Daniel Blake" a few weeks ago. As film quality is concerned (acting-wise) it is greatly over-rated - more on a par with an episode of Eastenders, to be honest, but the content of the film is an entirely different matter. Yes, it may be about a fictional character, but the events are so true to real life that it could be a documentary. I've seen the sort of distress caused from all sides of the coin. From the subject himself, to the National Careers Service, and even now, working for Utilita Energy, specialising in Prepayment Meters, where we get an ever increasing caseload of those having their benefits sanctioned & not being able to topup their Gas or Electricity. Fortunately we are based on humanitarian principles & will only leave someone off supply as a very last resort.

Ha ha, FourPart, I switched to Utilita 6 or 7 months ago and so far I've no complaints. It is a very easy way of paying for your power, and I do that over the internet - no more dashing off to the local shop to get some more credit on a plastic card ! I also think it is cheaper (or should I say less expensive ?) than most other suppliers, particularly the main top six !

Hey FourPart, I must have missed something - the last time I heard, you were working shifts in some sort of care capacity, or have I got that a bit wrong ? You bought a motor bike so you could get to work at odd hours. Have you still got the bike ?

Yep - I got out of that cruddy company back in August. I hated the place from the first week. I always said it was only a matter of time before it collapsed - and sure enough it did. I was the first to leave, before it went down the pan. Shortly afterwards came Karen & Louise, then Wendy, then Tom, then James, and now, the latest addition, Moira - all from the same office. Each of them saw what a good place it was to work & followed suit. As with everyone, I started in Smets (Smart Metering Equipment Technical Specifications) then got promoted to First Contact, specialising in Legacy (key) & Quantum (card) meters, so any time you have to call, there is a good chance you might be speaking with me, as I handle all of them - as you progress you add to skill sets so you gradually become more valuable to the company with each skill set you acquire.

I do still have Kermit (the Kawasaki ER6n 650cc), but it is up for sale. Whilst I was at my last job I was struggling to keep it on the road. Within a few months here I had enough for the down payment on Jaxsie - my Toyota Yaris Hybrid. If I can sell the bike that will pay for the remainder of the payments. Funnily enough, Jaxsie is actually cheaper to run than Kermit. Kermit used to get about 45 mpg, whilst Jaxsie gets about 55 mpg - plus being tax exempt.

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) is a favorite of mine. Ralph Fiennes deserved many accolades for his role as Gustave H. !
