Mr Gianforte is a Republican billionaire with less common sense than is needed in a congressperson.

To your second question. There is basically only two parties in the country that seem to matter. Most of the other parties are such minority players that they seldom put up a candidate of any consequence.

Americans like a Binary election. It is so much simpler to decide.
