The buttons in posting section are acting strangely. None of them want to work.

which buttons are you referring to?

Can you get a screen print/snip ?

And, what browser are you using?

They appear to be working form here. Can we start with the standard advice and work our way up? Clear the cache then restart the browser and try again or, better still, try another browser.

Glad it's cleared up.

I forget to clear my cache now and again. It's probably the the best first step when things get to acting weird.

Like power off/On your cell phone, now and again clears up strange behavior, too.

I'm sorry .

I have a couple of days off. I've come back home and found my house trashed, (literally trashed to the extent of having to go get a steam cleaner/ lawn mower/strong disenfectants / and window cleaner.......the remains of a fire that was lit in my backyard during restrictions and gas and aerosol cans strewn about..

I'm trying desperately to stay in good spirits. I'm being silly to save my sanity. This is not the way I thought my only break over the christmas /new year period would go.

It's happening again. This happens only on FG.

There's no server change recently. I suggest you run for a day or two on a different browser, and if that stays clear of the problem then go back to your current setup and see if it recurs. It's how I test anything, divide in half and see which side still shows the error.

Google just released an update for Chrome.

Go to settings, help/ about and let chrome load the latest update, then restart Chrome.

It might help.

The only other browser I use is Tor and I doubt spot would want me logging in with that.

On the contrary, long-term users can log in with proxies of any sort. We ban proxies for newbies accounts for obvious reasons.

Firefox is pretty functional. Though they manage to step on their own feet about every third or fourth update.

It's easily changed. So is Thunderbird, and that defaults to Bing too. If it sucks funding out of Microsoft then that's fine by me, Mozilla benefits from having a cash mountain.

Isn't the head of FF a former Microsoft exec? Working fine so far. You Brits know French, don't you?

We Brits are learning Chinese. Ni hao.

Seriously, my phone translates what the camera sees in realtime.

They've changed that, now.

It's actually pretty weird.

It's more likely Americans can't tell French from Portuguese.

I basically use windows because I am lazy.

I use Linux for work and only do CLI.

Separation of work and play, I guess.

Nah. I installed Webroot and never worry about security.

In many ways I like Microsoft's Windows and have since NT3.5 or thereabouts - the earlier ones were uniformly awful. What I dislike about it is how slow it is to process updates, installs, uninstalls and it's religious fetish toward rebooting.

As for security, ever since Intel added their monitoring supervisor core to their PC chips I've given up on trusting any PC regardless of the operating system. I have no trust in my smartphone either, obviously. I trust my reel-to-reel tape recorder. Krapp had it right.
