bump - the board has a rollover problem on 50 post boundaries, this is the third thread I've seen it in. If anyone can see tude's post 100 could the please reply to it to make it visible here?

Ah, now that is a very interesting link, thank you.

Perhaps we could start with why you think it has anything at all to do with classrooms or teaching. The cartoon is of a classsroom and teachers, the political target of the cartoonist. The cartoonist makes no mention at all of the school libraries. The District is responding to complaints from the public asking for the books to be removed, if I get that right. The teachers, to the best of my knowledge, still teach the texts if they choose to, but the District is avoiding lawsuits by removing all books complained of rather than investigating the complaints.

Father asked the teacher and she answered.

Cartoons are simple, to me the point was quite well illustrated.
I've looked carefully through the article you cited and I can find nothing in it about a father asking or a teacher answering. What's your source, or are you inventing it.

Well quoted post began a new page for me, and I believe that somewhere I set to see 50 posts per page.
and the last post on previous page was from Tude.
But I do not see individual post numbers, like we showed on the old engine.

The one with the Shah lighting the fuse that ends up in the hands of the Ayatollah is only missing Uncle Sam handing him the match.

And "If we get a vaccine it won't be available for most of the population until well into 2021" is completely accurate, I've no idea why it might get forgotten. It's exactly what has happened.

I think anyone in Georgia seeing this succession of pitiable cartoon dross would be more likely to vote Democrat in reaction than not. You may swing the Senate election yet tude, keep them coming.

You did good with that Devil Goes Down to Georgia, tude. Your Warlock chap wiped the floor with the incumbent. Perhaps you'd like to see his birth certificate? You might get your Republican denialists to believe he was born in Kenya.

"Pelosi wants to lower the voting age to 16"?

It works very well in Scotland, all national and local Scottish elections have been open to 16 year olds and above since 2017, the same as marriage.

My own opinion is that engagement with the political process would be far more relevant to teenagers if the age they were able to vote started at 12. What teenager is going to think about civic responsibility if they have none.

If you can be held criminally accountable you should be considered responsible enough to vote.
