This works best "live" but lets see how it goes.
This is a puzzle to which you can ask questions to which I can reply only yes or no & its up to you to figure out the answer.

As a man jumps out of a window he hears the telephone ring and regrets having jumped. Why ?

because he visualizes his crumpled. bloody, broken body laying on the pavement, and his ex collecting his life insurance? (the phone was just someone selling vacuum cleaners.).

neither has anyone else, but it's early on a holiday weekend! LOL.....i can't stand it, i am a detective and usually cut to the heart of the matter, so this makes me crazy. how high was the window? on what level?

he had told his wife if she dident phone by 1pm he was killing himself then just as he jumps around 10 past it rings?

ok....the window height is not pertinent. but it is to me, would he die if he jumped??? the phone rings, it is his broker telling him euro-disney did not go in the toilet. but he doesn't know that. next yes or no~~~is he cute?
