Latest off BBC is 30+ killed on the tube explosions, unknown figures for bus explosion. Bus was probably a suicide bomber which is a new and very worrying development in the UK

to all the British members, my thoughts and prayers are with you! I hope everyone was OK!
Blast it all, I HATE terrorists. When you blown up innocent civilians, women and children, whatever your cause was, whatever message you wanted to get across....
It's lost now. You get no sympathy or respect from me, for ever after. Die burning in Hell, you unconscionable ba***rds.

All I can offer are my prayers and my hope for the wellbeing of everyone in London. I further hope and pray that the monsters that do this sort of thing will be stopped before they do it in another place. I share the feeling of wanting to do something but not being able to.
Jives, you expressed it well. They are bringing wrath on themselves and they deserve it. The sooner the better.

I am waiting to hear everyone is safe there, I know how horrible the wait is to hear everyone is all right. I didn't know for 3 hours on 9-11 if my husband was inside or outside the Pentagon that day, and it was the longest hours of my life. Our prayers are with you all.

Killers of innocient people in the name of Allah are just that, Killers! :-5
As Tony Blair said: They are "Barbarians", how could they be anything else, murdering people who were minding their own business - that meant "them" no harm!
Londoner's will never again feel the sense of security they once had! Same as the New Yorker's since they lost their security feeling after 911.
My Thoughts and prayers go out to these latest victims & their families.
(Going back to another Thread "WHAT IF"..... If I could go back in time I would have stopped ATTAR & his band of killers on 911, & gone back to yesterday & stopped these "Barbaric" London killers!! Oh, if only What if.........)

I'm fine too, thank you for your concern, it's really heartwarming.
My granddaughter is going on a 3 day trip to London with her school next week. I really don't want her to go now. And I'm sure my daughter will feel the same.
What do other members think?

I dont blame you Theia, i know we should'nt let these buggers terrorise us but get real!
we're all vulnerable at the moment.
I'd be very surprised if the school let the trip go ahead anyway.
Good to see you're ok hon x

What do other members think?i am in agreement with Bothwell, you cannot live in fear. but that is a very personal decision of course. he intends to be in London monday and not let these terrorists run his life. the British have held firm through many travails over the years. if people don't go on with life, the terrorists have won. once again, the decision is deeply personal. whatever you decide is right.

An aunt of mine lived in London throughout the blitz. I can remember her telling me that everyone who survived through the night would clamber through the rubble and go off to work, as usual! She said that it became a fact of life that your house/shelter might sustain a direct hit or might not. But people just lived from day to day. Of course a lot of the children were evacuated to rural areas.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm now thinking that the school will probably cancel the trip.

But these fanatical B******* give no warning!

Very good point abbey. A lack of warning is what makes these terrorist attacks so insidious.
I was trying to illustrate in my last post that there can be an incredible spirit amongst people in the most ghastly circumstances.
And I truly hope that some of this spirit touches the hearts of those who are suffering the direct effects of today. Because they need it so much.

Delighted so many of our FG friends are OK, and keep checking in. Pray the remainder are OK as well.
The Spirit of people can sometimes be shaken, (Understandibly) but never broken! Life must go on, and that's how Terrorists are defeated!

My thoughts and prayers are with England in your hour of need. I hope everyone on FG is OK. I hope the death toll goes no higher. I hope we get those mofo's in the middle east for wreaking havoc in our lives. And BTW - did I ever thank England for being such a strong US friend? No? Thank you my friend.
