Hey Guys Spot brought up a good point so I thought I would create a thread with hopes of stirring up interest.

He noted that FG officially started with it's first post July 29, and he thought it good for us to figure out a way to celebrate this monumental day. So this thread is for ideas.

My personal fave is for every member to send money to me ahahahaha (yeah it's always bout me I know) But seriously, lets put on our thinking caps and see what we can come up with.

Spot has created the perfect opportunity for all of us to come together without prejudice so lets do so.

Hahahaha nonono nono despite what the good readers of FG think, this forum is NOT all about me ahahahaha

Well it would be cool to top our attendance record, we would have to try and get everyone into the pub, but hey we can all lend our un used card tables and chairs to the pub for extra seating.

Maybe due to time changes we could just state everyone check into the pub at sometime throughout the 24 hours of July 29 and see if we can reach a record attendance for a day. I just can't see us having a lot of luck haveing everyone tune in at the same time.

We could all meet say in Scotland yea thats it Scotland and have a jamboree whoooo! A bagpipe jamboree !

We could have forum booths......if you want to talk about science-go to the science booth, if you want to talk about cooking go to the cooking booth etc.

It would be like a life sized chess game except its forums.

This is the best idea ever !

Can we keep this a "clean" party ?the pub IS clean! you were mixed up with some rather bad influences who shall remain nameless! we try to maintain a traditional British ambiance. they took advantage because Bothwell and i have been otherwise occupied....naughty naughty! :rolleyes:

I know! You all could come to Iowa that weekend and Wolverine, Mary and I could shuck ya up some sweet corn - and party till the cows come home...Maybe do a little Snipe Hunting or cow tippin?? Any takers????? LOL

Very seedy crowd when I visited.

I feel dirty now !

Seems cow tipping is quite popular all over usually accompanied by either mushroom induced or alcohol vomiting behavior.

It never occured to me to tip a cow over but hey there must be something to it.

Iowa ? Lets not go to Iowa.....nice place to drive through really fast but Id hate to have to stop.

OMG way to many ideas here people good lord how are we going to manage all this in a single 24 hour span, ok as a last resort if nothing is settled lets sign in to the pub on the 29th with something to say that has the word FRIEND or FRIENDS in it ok. And remind all our members to do so.

Hey we can't all get somewhere in such short notice but hang on to your ideas cause maybe for our second birthday with enough advanced notice we can plan a FG Meet and Greet
