We all have our own ideas about what constitutes class in a particular individual. It's that first impression, that look, that manner of being, how and what they say. Here are a few of my own observations. You may or may not agree. Add some people to the list and let us know what you think about a particular high profile person. Don't elaborate, just list them as CLASS or NO CLASS. Madonna------------No Class, Celine Dion----------Class, Roger Moore--------Class, Mike Tyson----------No Class Finish the following and add your own Tony Blair------------ ,President Bush-----, Peter O' Toole-------

i don't care about celebrities at all, but my definition of class includes good manners in any situation. i had rather an English upbringing, one never embarrasses another person. ....BUT , on the job i can exhibit what appears to be no class when dealing with certain types who only understand one language.

I don't think Class is decided by your bank account or your popularity. There are an awful lot of people who are rich and famous and are still slobs.
I think "class" is being poised, soft spoken, gentle, compassionate, neat and tidy even if your clothles came from SA. I think Grace Kelly was the epitomy of "class".
Even tho her clothles did not come from SA. I think of Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor, they both wanted class so bad and thought by marrying men who had class they would acquire it but it didn't happen.

Boy you can tell your not from the bowels of the USA. SA means Salvation Army where they either give clothles to the destitute or sell them in their stores. Do they have anything equal in England? We also have Goodwill. I have never been there. I always take my stuff to Salvation Army. Did you all know that if you have a donation of furniture or appliances that you have to imform them, then they send out a rep. to inspect it to see that it's not to shabby for their store. My daughter-in-law was very insulted. She told them to forget it as she didn't want to take time off work. She laughed and said I'll just dump it along side the road on the way to work. :wah: She didn't but we thought that would be funny. I added she could dump it by the Salvation Army driveway. :driving:

Here's a quandry about class.
One might argue that doing things that aren't classy (such as having affairs) would make you not classy.
However, both Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana have had public affairs, and I noticed a few people listed them as having class. Is this because their affairs were (at least for a time) more discreet than, oh, say, Bill Clinton's affairs?

No real quandry. I think most will think of a person as having class based on their persona, and the way they carry themselves, not if they had affairs. After all, Cary Grant, Jack Kennedy et al were considered as having class, and they both had affairs.

I agree with LadyCop
I mean you dont usually have to point out someones no-class it usually speaks for its self. Unfortuanately the individual sometimes doesnt get it to learn from their embarassment.
