Being from Indiana, God knows, I'm used to 'em. But what about the folks here? Noone here has warning systems in place for such things, do they? I mean, basically all you can do is just get out of their way, but they can and do cause alot of damage and injury.

First terrorists, then tornadoes! They must be sticking with the t's! We just passed that way, going to Wales! Does this happen often here? Next thing we will be getting is hurricanes!:-3

Apparently, scientists say that the effects of global warming will mean that extreme weather conditions will happen more and more often. :(

Leeds in England was struck by a tornado yesterday and the damage is as you'd expect. The one that struck Birmingham last year passed over where I work and it was quite a sight. It was said that as it passed over some of the inner-city areas, it caused millions of pounds worth of improvements. :rolleyes:

Tornadoes are nothing new to this country. Albeit, we don't get them huge ones as they do in the USA.
