He's got the same slogan, same forum titles and mostly the same title sequence. And his logo was stolen from a designer at another forum. Is there anything that can be done about people like this?

Sorry for the rant, btw. This stuff just infuriates me. What happened to respecting other people's creativity and hard work?

Mention it to the owner of this site, if you haven't already. If he/she doesn't want to do anything, just ignore the site.

Something like this happened at another site I used to go to. Social Tree completely ripped off You Think. The owner of YT decided not to do anything about it.

Just boycott the site. People like that aren't worthy of visitors. Let the owner do something if she wants to.:

the forum 'owner' at discussstuff posted here a day or so ago, basically saying 'come over here, we're better'. that's spam, so i tossed him and his post. they just started up the forum barely a week ago. yes, they've 'stolen' our basic format, our 'catch phrase', and general layout.

but it's a free world. they can do whatever they want - on their site. i wish them luck, but when you start out as a copycat, chances are you have no original ideas of your own. without original ideas, there's no growth. i give them a few more weeks, they'll get bored with nobody posting (and not be able to figure out why), and that will be that.

all we ask is that they don't come here and try to poach our community. show some class. the 'innernet' is pretty big, remarkably enough. like, hundreds of millions of people big.

build your own community, rather than relying on the 'grass is greener' contingent, who *never* stick around long...

I also agree with A it is the people that make a good Forum and there's none better than FG.

Well if they're in the business of ripping off forums, why not rip off forum usernames as well? No sense in stopping after they steal a logo, a slogan, etc...
