-I never ever ever miss work, not when your a single mom you dont, but, everone else seems to be ill on sunny 85 degree days and comes in with a sunburn, sooooooooo, since my sick days have stacked up, I need to use some or losem.

-When you dont want to go to the office, or wherever, what do you use as an excuse? And, what do you do when your off.

-The last time I fibbed a sick call was 3 years ago with my fiance, and we cuddled all day long and watched black and white movies.........

the day before go round looking a little glum and tell everyone you have a really bad headache.....

phone in the next morning and say youve not slept much and your heads no better....

then: enjoy your day!

When I lived in Newbury I had a worker that would come in Monday and say "I feel a cold coming on Wednesday."

I have my cake, & do eat it to. As I don't have to work any longer, and I'm enjoying my new found freedom. I would not want to go back at this time. (But never say never) :)

Anyway, when I was working & wanted to take a "Sick-day" (which was very rare) just for taking a day off, I would call in and say in a sickly low voice:

I had dinner at a new restaurant last night, and appratenly their cooking made me sick. Because I have been up all night with stomach distress, & I am still feeling ill & weak right now. So I will not be able to come in today. I will try to return tomorrow if I am able to.

It worked for me, & as a former dept. manager myself, I have heard similar reasons told to me, which I accepted.
