Man Kills Wife After Sex To Watch Sports On TV

PANAMA CITY, Fla. -- A Florida sports fan has been sentenced to death for killing his wife after sex.

Christoper Offord got angry because his wife wanted to cuddle after they had sex -- but he wanted to watch sports on television. She died after being struck dozens of times with a claw hammer.

Offord later confessed to a bartender at a sports bar, and eventually pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

In imposing the death sentence, the judge said the brutality of the crime outweighed any of the defendant's possible mental problems.

Offord did not speak in court, but admitted in a jailhouse interview that he deserved to die.

This is one of those stories I couldn't decide if it belonged in sports, bizarre stories, or here. This man is one messed up individual.

Did anyone read the transcripts of the sentence? He was served dissolution papers 4 days before the murder. While I can't understand why she would have sex with the person she was divorcing, she certainly didn't deserve this.

How does that old saying go..."You can't fix stupid".....

No really I shouldn't talk about the deceased like that I know. Shame on me! But I read the transcripts also and it seems it wasn't so much he wanted to watch sports.....I think it says he was sick of her "running her mouth" and wanting to cuddle!! Oh geeeeezzz!
