Last week after searching for sales for a while, found a good one on

shoes (I go through approx. a pair every 3-4 months) and went to

buy them. The sale started at 7 a.m. so that's when I got there since

I think I have common shoe size. There were only 2 pair left in my size

and when I went to pay, the guy rang up 90 bucks!! I said "That's too

much, they're on sale" thinking that the computer didn't have it yet.

Well, the clerk went to check and said for 2 pair that WAS the sale price!

(Gulp!) So *I* walked around to where they were, because I was so

sure it should be less. He came with me, and sure enough, right there on

the sign, sale $35.99. I looked at the guy and he said "Oh that's for the

BLACK AND PINK ones". HUH? Of which there were none on the shelf,

of course. He did look up for me to see if they had any in stock, and I got

them because I don't care about color if I've gotta pay 6 bucks more for it,

but while it wasn't exactly bait-and-switch, it kinda ticked me off!



It's not like I needed red pumps to go with a dress or anything, these

were just trainers (Hi Brits!!) to hopefully get me 500 miles or so.

Have you tried ZAPPO.COM on line they have millions of shoes at very good prices, often time there is no shipping charge at all.. I pretty much buy online now..

I once bought a pair of shoes in different colours, literally!

i tried one on in the shop and paid for them, when i got home they were different shades, one had been out on display in the shop & had faded,

but they were so cheap i kept one on my back bedroom window ledge so that it would fade the same way.
