I live by this and it serves me well.

Attitude

Attitude by: Rev. Charles Swindoll, Source UnknownThe longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, then circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say, or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. We are in charge of our attitudes.

i got told i had an attitude problem once.....

never heard anything so absurd in my life! the woman who said it was just hissing at me because i was questioning the fairness of something she was doing....

really wound me up tho...

because im normally quite placid and bubbly if i then stick up for myself or someone else the change is fairly extreme.....

attitude problem - pah

LOL ! Must be her ! Pah !

I used to have a serious attitude problem but in a long slow unveiling Im learning to let my ego go and as I do that my world has been altered into one of peace and love.

I can usually see above and beyond the present and it allows me room to relax, to breathe.

My life is much simpler and enjoyable this way.

Its 2:43 am and your worried about her.

You give her too much power.

Your the one that controls that pp (:wah: )

When you let go of those things you become free.

Good ! Its the stuff of life to reach outside our walls it will bring you the best of whats out there waiting for you.

We all have our fortresses and they get wider and thicker as we become jaded.

We lose when that happens.

When you feel like that....spend an afternoon in the park watching children play !

thats VERY true... tho the kids round where i live are mostly little brats..... and it just makes me wonder where the heck the world is going!

i do find tho that a really lovely walk in some pretty place does wonders tho, brings you back to nature and back to what everythings all about..... specially if its sunny and all the flowers are out, and all the birdies are singing their lovely songs

:-6

The point being that we can learn from children, they truly are free.

(Until the parents get a hold of them and screw them up)

i completely agree with what your saying

just round here the parents are mostly chavs/pikeys/scum and remind me of everything i hate about the world and their kids are just smaller versions of them!!

your damn lucky if you go to a park and see a cute genuine innocent child playing with a parent that actually deserves to be called a parent

That my little pp (:wah: ) is the problem in a nutshell. It all starts at home. Our future lies within the love or lack of it, the compassion or lack of it, the genuine nurturing or lack of it that occurs or doesnt occur at home.

My parents were umm not trying their hardest and it took too many years for the 3 of us (brother & sister) to find our own way. It shouldnt be that way !
