Did ya' ever notice...in the threads that get LOTS of attention, (ie: the Pub, the random thread, etc...) the number of posts is always around 10% of the number of views? I duuno why I noticed it or why I felt the need to comment on it, but it was buggin' me, so I did. :yh_neutra

I wondered because some of the posts are so much longer (like songs

The reason; I'm new here and you all seem to know each other really well, are witty, clever, quick with comebacks, and I feel like someone that goes to a party because my mom made me and I don't know anyone. But I still like to read your comments because they are funny and I always get a big smile when I read them.

If I read more and posted less I would learn more. But I mainly come here to destress as historically it was one of the friendlier forums.

Had to leave for a while when I got slandered.

I'm the same Bridget...I've got involved in quite a lot of threads and even started one of my own, but these cool guys and gals just keep me entertained night after night....still learning the lingo and all those abbreviations.....I had to find a 'glossary' on the web.....anyway...welcome...we'll lurk together...watch out for ladycop though ! CUL

I think it just takes time and confidence. And if you're a little on the shy side it takes more time. It's like trying to get to know a new group in any situation, cyber or real. But everyone on FG is very friendly, very helpful and supportive. But I still double/treble check my posts beforehand! I think that's just me. Mildly(?) obsessive! :wah:

You're not alone theia. When I first joined this great Garden, & I wrote a post, I would read it over & over & check & recheck the spelling. When replying to a post, it took me sooooo long to reply (reading & rereading, checking & rechecking spelling) that most times someone else already posted their reply post, & beat me to the point I was trying to make. Now, I read over once, & spell check once, & only check what I think are the really hard words. So if I misspell a word, or the grammar is not right, the Sun will still rise tomorrow morning anyway, ha ha ha!!!

Perhpa I shoud become a supporting member but my wife was left a lot of debt by her first husband who killed himself.

He never had his life insurance updated to have her name on it.

He has is mom listed. She said she would give the money to my wife but renigged.

Miss being able to see people's profiles.

I find this statement to be not only an abonimation of my character but excracating with loathsome enmity. It deeply distresses me that I should be compared to diarrhea and FR in the same sentence. :p
