I think Nomad has a good point there, it is an individual nervous reaction. I as a mother (I may go you know where for this) laughed when my daughter broke her arm, why cause she was jumping on her bed and I heard bump bump bump BANG! Wahhhhhhh to this day I think that is funny. And the kid was only 2 when it happned. I still feel awful for laughing about it.

And yep Far it is funny, "in a slapstick kind of way" think 3 stooges, the marx brothers, funniest home viedos think about when others get hurt, don't we laugh ....

Sorry that's just wrong to be posting about a "big" guy knocking down a small woman!! And laughing about it, why would you want to post such a thing, if you needed to ask, you knew it was wrong.

The guy smashing his head is not in the same category! Is reverence dead, not to be mortified and apolegetic instead of laughing. Shame! :wah:

what always manages to crack me up is this..

Picture the scene, snazzy club lots of pretty people and posers all trying to get noticed..

someone male/female goes to sit down and misses the chair, stool,sofa, or goes to lean on something and slips...

Then looks around nervously to see if anyone saw and then pretends it didn't happen... All the while their face is getting redder, hell nothing worse than not looking cool.

I was in a very dark bar about 25 years ago with my girlfriends. We were sitting at tables that were set up a step higher than the rest of the floor. This young man came sauntering over to the table, tripped on the step and knocked two of us over. We were all getting off the floor when this guy looks at us straight faced and said "I guess a blow job is out of the question now". :wah: :wah:

I think it is a funny story Far, we have all stumbled and fallen and made ourselves look silly at one time or another. Why on earth would I not teach kids, unless Iwanted to see antics all day long? I've been known to bump into a kid accidently, or them into me-we all laugh, and know we are human. We say excuse me, and try to be more careful. When I was out for a day last year, one of the kids accidently knocked over the precious overhead in the room, and the students were shaking when I came in the next day. At least 20 kids had tattled to me before I had even got to the room, and told me who did it, and it was an accident, just a clutsy little foot not paying attention as they walked by and *crash.* I didn't get mad at the student, said I understood, and just picked up a piece of chalk for the day and started our lessons.

But I did get a new overhead the next week from the principal, so everything ended happily ever after!

Many moons ago, myself my best friend and her brat of a little sister were playing french cricket in the street.

I wanted to get rid of the little sister for a while, so I said to my freind ' the next ball you throw I am going to whack really hard down the street and send her after it'

So, my friend threw the ball and I smashed into it!! Only trouble was my freind decided to catch me 'out' Her hands missed the ball, and it caught her on the side of the face giving her not only a fat lip but a black eye as well!!

She crumpled up on the road in a heap crying! I crumpled up in a heap laughing!! By the time I recovered she'd gone home and wouldn't come out again!!

She didn't speak to me for a week!!!:wah:

Well FAR it's a knee jerk reaction when something like that happens, of course you had no intention of knocking the little lady out, or cause her to be dizzy. I think it's a human thing to laugh at our mistakes. I would have probably done the same thing.

I hope she is OKEYDOKEY.. And won't sue the pant off the hospital.:-3

I have a sick sense of humor so I would have cracked up laughing even if I was the lady.:wah:

He didn't get the "job" but he got to sit with us. I think he was a little crippled from the fall.
