Ok - here is my bad day- the cat tipped over the rat cage and was trying to eat him - my daughter went down to her room and started to scream this horrendous scream and I went running - only to find the cat licking his lips and all the kids crying...I grabbed the cat - threw his butt outside and tried to comfort my daughter....Through all of this - I was thinking the rat was dead - but NOPE he probably bit the cat worse then he got bit..:-2 ---

I get a phone call from my brother who is 48 years old..Old enough to have grown up - but you guessed it...he never has--asks me,the youngest of 12 - to come and bail him out 2 hours away..I said? HUH? call your family - he tells me "they said sit and stew" - So I say-1st of all I don't have the money and secondly if you chose to drink and drive for the 3rd time - then you sit...I hung up and I FELT BAD! Duh! why should I feel bad....:( HE will now go to prison from what I understand - and understandably so...

Ok wait - its not over...My sister called tonight to inform me that her mammogram came back with 3 lumps...that was Wednesday- they then took a biopsy and did some blood work and her points are way up there...had a body scan and found two more tumors in her left leg...:-1

How come when people say - "He only gives you enough that you can handle..." Can't I raise my hand and say - -
I HAVE FRICKIN HAD ENOUGH?-

:yh_hugs BIG HUG FOR YOU MOMINIOWA,

You have had a tough day. I can't offer anything but a shoulder to lean on, I'm a good listener and I'm here for you..:-4

Your brother is an adult, he can take care of his own problems. If he chooses to drink and drive, maybe some time behind bars will save his life and maybe lives of others.

I feel so sorry for your sister..I hope she comes out of this OK.

The rat and the cat will survive, and your daughter will be OK as well..

Go take a hot bath and relax..;)

I'm really sorry to hear all this mom. You know you have all of us to lean on. Some people don't even have that. We're here for you.

Awww....(((((((((((MOM)))))))))))))))

Sorry to hear about your crappy day! If I can be blunt? Your 46 year old brother should be sitting in jail. His decisions, his mistakes, make him deal with the consequences. Not your problem. Like Carla said, maybe it's just what he needs, it sure worked for me!!

I'm sorry to hear about your sister, that is some scary stuff. Your toughness and your strength will be a big help to her. And as you know, you have your friends here to vent to when you need it.

One more for ya: ((((((((((((((((MOM)))))))))))))))

xoxo

1. Looks like it's the rat that has nine lives!:D

2. Good. It's hard to say, but I didn't straighten my life out until I had looked out from behind bars, so maybe this will be the cathartic experience for your brother that it was for me. After I was arrested, I promised myself that I would change my life and never go back again (I was 17) and I never did!:o

3. Be supportive, modern medicine is amazing these days. My friend had the worst cancer there is, and three chemo treatments later he's cancer-free. It's a hard road to walk, but she'll be OK.

Now...go smell a flower, eat some chocolate, and curl up with a good book. Lose this world for a while, it'll stil be here when you get back. My wife says what you said, 'God never gives us more than we can handle." And she got out of the hospital yesterday for the 106th time in ten years.;)

Mom, you know how we feel about you. If you didn't you wouldn't feel comfortable enough to unload all this here, but you know this is the right place.

I posted this in another thread, and I'm not known for getting it right real often, so rather than asking for lightning's repeat, I'll copy it here with the same spirit.

I can't relate to what you're going through. I've never had anyone close experience such a thing. I have not advice to give you and any encouragement would be trite.

I can do this: I offer my friendship. I off er to forget/neglect/ignore that you are not 100% healthy and will treat you as such. I will give you praise when I agree with you and will tell you you're nuts when you are. And the moment I detect you're feeling sorry for yourself I'll slap you in the head, beause that's what friends do.

In short, I offer what I have. Me
