There was something really weird that happened once... in my first year of university, I had been out with two people, matt and nye. My housemate Maria went to visit her friend from school, Kate about 7 hours south of my university. Kate's friend, who maria had never met before, happened to mention to maria that they knew two people in our year at my uni... who just happened to be my two ex boyfriends....

small world, no?

My teenage years I spent in several foster care situations. One time I moved into Ruston, LA. When I went to school and told kids my name, Accountable Tomyself (not my real name), over and over people would look at me kinda funny and ask, "Do you know Confident Tomyself (not the real name)? I would, of course answer, "Yes, she's my sister." Then I would walk away really confused, because my sister had never been in Ruston before. How did everyone seem to know her?

Fast forward 3 years. I'm 18 and in a bar (legal back then). The guy next to me is one of those over-friendly types that strikes up conversations with anyone and evryone. So about 20 seconds into the one-sided conversation he announces "By the way, my name's Touching Tomyself (not his real name)." Acting on a hunch I asked him, "Do you know Confident?" "She's my sister," he answers! "Why?"

Turns out this Tomyself family in Ruston has 4 kids: Touching, Confident, another sister we'll call Speaking, and - get this now - Accountable! They attended a different school than I so we never met, but had several friends in common. No wonder there was such confusion. We became good friends for a couple of years but have since lost touch.

I've been in an American Legion Auxiliary Color Guard for over ten years now. While I was there I met my best friend, Vikki, Her mom, Cindi, became my Aunt's best friend. One day, eight years after joining the guard, we decided to have a party at my house. Vikki, Cindi and Cindi's mom walked in and their jaws hit the floor. Cindi had been born in our house! How fun that we all grew up and became best friends.
