Last week was pure $@%# for me! My mother was admitted to the hospital. She has emphysema (sp?) & Parkinsons Disease. She's not doing so well, but she is home now. Also last week, the hurricane hit. My father lives in Biloxi. We had no way of knowing if he was alive or dead. Luckily, he's in the VA, so I was a little more reassured of his safety than if he'd just been living in his home... which is probably gone. As I said, Mom's home & my brother called down to the VA on Sunday. An operator answered, & when my brother asked for my father's room, she transferred him. Unfortunately, Dad wasn't apparently in his room. He was probably out having a smoke. Honestly, who could blame him?? Our family (except for me) went through Hurricane Camille in 1969, as well. Fared a little better with that one. I'm sure the houses we lived in in Biloxi & Gulfport (we lived in both places) are most likely gone now. :-1

God bless those people down there!

That sounds like some week. My thoughts are with your family and yourself Observer. Just keep smiling and think positively about the week ahead, rather than the week before. :-6
