Well, bare with me, I am just a lilttle ticked off about now, I have been through the ringer the last 2 weeks.
-I came home and my son said he was living with his dad 50% of the time.
-oh, and "you cant stop me"
-aol terminated my services
-discover card felt compelled to tell me I was current on my card but was behine
$100 in late fees
-long distance service-terminated
-rent was raised
-son isnt speaking to me
-my birthday on 9/11 and my son was ticked and said I was lying about my age, seriously !
so, the question is quallifications
- discover do you really think I can pay the late fees when I cant pay my monthly payment!!!!!!
-do all collection agents have to be bitches?
-prereq-of rudeness for the position
-fatherhood, to poison your childs mind against your mom, live with me so I dont have to pay child support.
-where was he when I stayed up with a vomiting lil boy etc.
QUALIFICATIONS, I want a life where I am rich, the perfect mom, young forever, and 30 pounds under weight, drive a new hummer, live on the water and travel extensively, because obviously this is what you need to be, TO MAKE IT IN LIFE!!!!
-thanks for listening, I feel better, and to those who had my e-mail, yes I have changed services again, one more time and I will have to use a carrier pigeon.

Rich? That much money only causes more problems, AND a higher tax bracket.
Perfect mom? She exists...her name is Carol Brady, and WHY would anyone want THAT hair???
Young forever? My granny always said, "Youth is wasted on the young."
30 pounds under weight? One word: Anorexia
New Hummer? Sheesh....think of the $150 fill-ups.
Live on the water? LOTS of bugs. And sand tracked through your house.
Travel extensively? Consider the constant jet-lag.
See? I can find the bad in ANY situation!
:yh_bigsmi Just tryin' to give you a giggle, Jas. Hope it worked.

Wow Jas, like they saying goes, when it rains, it poors!!! Sounds like you're in the middle of a Thunder/Rain storm now!!! But just keep on pluggin away at this stuff, it will eventually get beter. (Have been there, done that) Even your son will get over the novilty of living with his dad, especially when his dad starts to lay down some house rules there that he has to follow!!!
As far as the money thing, thats going to be tough, you'll have to look for more ways to cut back, until you can get cought up! I know, it's easier said than done! But it's the only way! Again been there, done that!
It can only get better form here, & it most likely will!!! Good Luck & best wishes!!

Sounds like you've been crapped on and then pissed on when you tried to roll out of the way, girl.
The hardest one of those to deal with is the father one. Do not bad mouth the father to the son. Much as he may deserve it- don't do it. That forces the son to take his side. Sounds like your son may be at that perfect age to move in with dad for a while. Give him an opportunity to know the man behind the parttime dad.
And heck, if he's going to be with dad 1/2 time find something smaller where you'll pay less rent. Pay off the credit card and be strong when they turn around the next month and increase your limit for being such a good customer. call and tell them to reduce your limit instead.
Repeat after me...AOL sucks eggs! Find the cheapest internet access you can and then sign up for an internet phone service.
Don't get me wrong here....usually when you reach the point where you can't stand for ONE MORE thing to happen..it does, just to prove it can. That's when you'll turn the corner and start digging your way out. So hang tough, girl. I believe in you.:-4

Awwww.
Bad stuff always happens to nice people. At least you got rid of AOL, right? That's a step! Flopstock is right, AOL is terrible.
Maybe Discover will take off your fees if you tell them you're considering switching services. Always works for us when they start bombing us with fees : )
*hugs*

Absolutely brilliant advice Nomad! I am quite impressed. I had no idea what a smart, brilliant, lovely person you could be!:wah:
Seriously though, I think the first thing I'd do is cut up the Discover card. Credit cards are great in an emergency, but when the emergencies start adding up, they'll only put you deeper in debt.

Peanut butter is great protein! and who needs cable when you have tv antenna and internet?
BTW, don't close the card accounts when you cut them up. Check out suzeormon.com & read about credit ratings & fico scores.

You certainly deserve a pat on the back Jas for doing all the right things to make it better for you & yours. Again, as said, it won't be easy, but IT WILL get better, trust me, it just will, you'll see!!!
