Got a lovely pendant and bracelet from the folks, mum-n-law sent me Ã‚£20, and it's a beautifull day to go spend it! I get pressie from hubby when he gets home.:-4

According to the oxford dictionary it is a distinctly british thing by heating milk slowly and allowing it to cool while the cream rises to the top in lumps.

Its a fantastic thick creamy stuff that makes your tummy glad!:yh_bigsmi

Dont feel bad.......I had never heard of it either till I moved over here.

Wonder if this is possible prepared with whole milk here in the states? I would bet not as I don't believe our whole milk is as rich as in Europe. Just a guess? As a milk drinker, I thoroughly enjoyed the milk there there as the rich cream flavor was so evident. What percentage is the milk fat there (in whole milk), can you tell me? Sorry about straying from the thread!

The milk I get is 3.6grams of fat in a half gallon. LOL!! I just found out about jersey milk. So rich the cream still comes to the top!
