I told two people it would take 6 hours to can bread and butter pickles It took 9.5 hours with my neighbors. I will never teach again, I never want to teach again. Geez.

Ohhh and they are!!! Not sure why they call them "bread and butter pickles" anyhow??? Valley, bless you for attempting to teach a traditional homemade way of preparing pickles with your neighbors! However, save your time and energy for your grandchildren! Children love this type of experience in the kitchen and will appreciate your efforts!! I have not been lucky enough to have these home prepared.... bet they are delicious!!
