Girl, 17, sentenced to no sex

Also banned: piercings, tattoos, drug garb

A judge in Sherman, Texas, prohibited a 17-year-old girl from having sex as part of her probation.

Texas state district Judge Lauri Blake ruled that one teenage drug offender was forbidden from having sex while living with her parents and attending school, the Dallas Morning News reported. But, this is not the first unorthodox ruling Blake has made in her 10 months as a judge in the district courts of Fannin and Grayson counties.

Blake has prohibited body piercings, tattoos, earrings and clothing associated with drugs from people on probation. There is question as to how she will go about enforcing rulings such as the sex ban.

Lawyers also have been subject to the rulings of Blake, who has told female lawyers not to wear sleeveless shirts or show cleavage in her courtroom, according to the Dallas paper

We have a judge like that in our area.

A junvie was in court, for I don't remember what, and called a policeman a pig.

His sentence for his verbal offense: He had to stand on a busy street corner with a pig and sign saying something like a policeman is not a pig, this is a pig.

I think this not only made an impression on the boy, but on a lot of other youngsters who heard about the sentence. This is one judge they don't want to have to go before.

I saw a video of a kid with baggy pants unloading the weapons he was hiding in them. I couldn't believe the number of weapons including a shotgun that came out of his pants.

I don't doubt it. I mean really, you can't tell if they aren't walking right because they are packin' a gun, too stoned or their waistband is around their thighs!

And how could you possibly run from the police if you have to hold your pants up!?!

I agree with you AND I liked the pig story too.

you know, in all seriousness, it's HER courtroom. she sets the rules. our courts have ordered people with AIDS not to have sex, it's attempted murder. maybe that was unsaid here in the instant case. they are not allowed to say, a cop is not allowed to know.

I like that judge, may she shine forever...

I remember a looong time ago when our children were in high school...a girl got pregnant and the boy whom she had been dating for a long time denied it was his and went to court saying it wasn't his baby...he got several of his boyfriends to say that they had slept with her too....it backfired and the judge said "Fine, then you ALL will support this baby until it is 18 years old..."I was so impressed that that judge didn't let that boy get off trying to get out of what he had caused and brought in others to shame her.

but, now for the end of the story...

Unfortunately that baby was born and died...the daddy went to see the mother, they got back together and later married...that is either stupidity or a wonderful example of forgiveness...I don't think I could be that "big".

We too, had a Juvenile Court Judge, instruct the boy to not have contact with the boys he had gotten in trouble with, ordered the parents to have the boys removed from the same class room, no baggy pants, no slang on the shirts, and 1000 community service hours with the arts department painting our wall uptown, because they had been caught graffiting (if thats a word..ha ha) She has been scrutinized for several reasons and has had lawyers question her ability to make rash decisions...I think she is AWESOME! and I get a lot of help with my Relay for Life team activities for hours due of community service! LOL:D

It appears that you and I are the only ones that had good judges to look up to ????Can it be ??
