Bike Question for BR

BR I may have seen a thread about this before if so I apologise.
On sattelite tv here we have American Chopper (dicovery I think), I have never been really interested in bikes and always too much of a chicken to ride one but I just love this programme.
My Question is this, how is OCC thought of in biking copmmunity, is it pure hollywood or are the bikes any good?
IMO Mikey is the hero

Good mornin' Bothwell!!!
As far as the show itself, it's pure Hollywood, but then it probably woudn't get the attention it does if it was just bike building with none of the goofiness you see.
The bikes, though....ohhhh, the bikes!!!! Coveted, lusted after, drooled over by every biker across the country. Some of the finest machines any of us will ever have the opportunity to see. From the original designs (I doubt any 2 are alike) to the incredible paint to the built-from-the-ground-up engines. Every bikers fantasy is just to get to sit on one, let alone own one. Not many of us could ever afford one!!!
In my opinion, these guys make Jesse James look like he builds with Tinker Toys.

I saw the first spider bike and the stealth one over here not long ago, but I have to say for design the "Old School" bikes are my favourite.
