-choice of partner-male/male or female/female or male/female

-work/unemployed

-white/black/red/yellow/purple

-abusive/passive

Ok, here is my point, we dont agree with everyones views if everyone were the same , none of us would be ourselves correct.

-I workd for CVS pharmacy, and let me tell you, their thinking can be quite small

Most of the pharmacist that I have worked with, comment on the fact oh, this person is on well-fare, etc. See how they are dressed, they are probably driving a jag,and live better than us. I live on the water, and there are 3 islands and Canada close enough that I could actually jump in and swim there. One Island is an indian reservation, and all I hear is oh, here comes another one, look he's going straight to the liquer counter etc. Yes the town that I live in is mostly living on the state, alot of them are older people, some are just plain lazy.

Every time I hear one of the pharmacist say that,or the store manager he is the worst, I have fought back comments. Well, two people have quite I am the only pharmacy tech doing 3 jobs.I am working 14 hour days. My raise came up and my boss didnt even do the review. The store manager did. I usually get at least a fair raise. Well I sorta let out what I thought, I let him know that no, it's not an acceptable raise, and no it's not acceptable that you talk about your employees and laugh about their problems to others , it's not ok that you make fun of the homeless and alcoholic individuals that patron this store, I told him that he was so small minded that he beleived bad things cant happen to good people. Oh, and buy the way , I AM PART INDIAN,obviously, so is that why my raise is so small, would it be less if I drank or was on the state?

-I know I sealed my own fate until next years raise, but you guys what would happen if everytime someone behaved negatively about something we said hey, it may not be your choice of living , but dont judge, I have had a family,and a broken family I have been married, and unmarried, I have been childless, and now am blessed with one, I have been well-off and almost poor. I have had no faith, and have had faith for 20 years.

-Make a difference, but live by your words, the world doesnt need a face life, it needs a heart.

-Ok I will get off my soap box now, see what a tablet of Ritalin, and 3 cups of caffinated tea at 5 in the morning can do to a person.

Jasmund...I applaud you for speaking out....and glad your truthfullness only jeopardised your pay rise not your job.

I feel the same about 'small minded' people and to my shame have sometimes kept my mouth shut when I have heard the kind of remarks you have mentioned. ( I am not big on confrontation...a coward in fact). I am now in my late 50s ....if I lose my job by speaking out...what the hell...I now constantly speak out and actually, It seems to make people think a bit. I shall probably come a cropper one day and get a punch on the nose!!!!

Yea Jas it might just be me but I would probably have waited to tell my boss off until after my review was over. Your timing might be a bit wayward. :wah:

Yeah, I already had the raise. Thats what set me off.

Quiet little me. He saw a whooooole new side of me. You work several 14 hour days(be a team player etc.) I did, and I am a team player all year long. My raise , wee lets just say in about 1950 you could buy a coke with it.

CVS will not give above a 4% raise,the most you will get is 40 cents. No kidding.

Its a new rule, I make alittle over $12.00 an hour. I would have told him to take it and you know, but he propbably would have, I called corporate and it is a new rule. Budget cuts etc. My girlfriend has worked their 20 years, she got 8 cents.

Your probably going to have to suck it up Jas, the corporate world is changing everywhere. People are losing their pensions (I did) raises are 2% all over the country, theyre stripping med benefits and raising the premiums. Airlines are folding, its a republican government with hard dollars at the helm and by the time Bush leaves office were going to be so far in debt I dont see a change anytime soon, just a fact !

Your my kind of woman. Ive said my whole life.. If you dont ask for something youll never just have it given to you. And when we stand by and listen to the comments you described.. we are as quilty as the people who make them. Its also cowardly. Bravo!!

Exactly the same over here guys...they tell us inflation rate is 2% so we get an equivalant rise...and then we get bills in for gas, electric, water etc that exceeds a rise of 6 to 7%...scandalous.



We were conned into taking out Endowment Mortgages only to find that they actually wouldn't pay off the mortgage so we changed back to repayment mortgages....
