Amiltryptaline

Post by Saffron »

The Nurse Practioner at my school's health center prescribes a sleeping pill called Amiltryptaline. IT also has a anti-anxiety medication in it. It has been helping me a lot. EVen during what I am going thru, I have not had any totally sleepless nights. My best friend in Montana also takes them. They are tiny green pills. She doesn't like the way she feels in the morning. But I just think I can get over that feeling if they help me all day. They also make my have a dry feeling in my mouth.

Has anybody ever heard of them? Or taken them?

Amiltryptaline

Hi, I live in England and Amiltryptaline are used here a lot.

They used to use them as anti-depressants in quite high doses, (quite a few years ago I belive) but they are no longer prescribed for that.

I have taken them myself in the past as a treatment for chronic fatigue, and chronic pain, as they work through the brain to help with sleep patterns.

My son has recently been prescribed them also, he has post traumatic stress syndrome and slight agrophobia, they have been given to help with the anxiety.

I think they are great as I have used them long term and short term and never had any problems with them.

Like you say it so nice to get a good nights sleep, I think that in itself can help with so many other problems. :)

I have been on Amiltryptaline for 10 years.

They are highly addictive. Withdrawal symtoms are horrendous.

You will not be able to just stop taking them.

Please Please make sure you are slowly weaned off them.

In severe cases, sudden stopping can lead to anaphalatic shock.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon
