Storms....Hmmm... I think I've heard of those. Isn't that where water comes down from the sky? Never seen one though, not here in the New Mexican desert.:o

Hay lady cop it's all right. I wish I could have a thunderstorm or to here. It would be a relief. Thundestorms are great. It's like when you have a terrible upset stomach and relief finally comes your way. Just hide under a chair it will pass soon.:driving:

When I had a Sheltie, she'd freak out during thunderstorms and try to hide between the bed mattresses! :wah:

Now I have a cat. she tries to swipe the lightning from the sky.

All right, LC, what did you do?

Did you pull your gun on the storm and threaten it?

It's getting dark here and I hear thunder. You could have told it to go east and not north!

I grew up in L.A. and lived four years in the Bay Area, and we used to have some good shakers. Now I'm 75 miles to the nearest faultline. Have to settle for the mechanical bull.

But I don't blame you. I've never been in a big storm, but I've seen the aftermath and they look very scary. I'd take a 7.0 quake over a bad hurricane anytime!

I agree with TQ, I would take an earthquake over that wet stuff. When you know that tornado or hurricane is a coming, you can only wait. An earthquake gets it over and done with fast.

I'm in So. Arizona where the monsoon is in full swing. It's been raining almost everyday for about a week now. Avg half an inch a day and it's so fun to watch it form. The thunder two nights ago woke me up at 2am and the sky was lit up. It's nice to have rain in the desert. I hardly ever use my umbrella either.

Thunderstorms...I love 'em. *sigh* It's been dry and hot here. Hoping for a good boomer tonight or tomorrow.

Nope. AL

The thunder turned out be worse than the rain. Just enough to quiet the steam on the streets.
