Successful Employment for the Future

Unemployment will increase in my opinion, but their are certain jobs and careers that will always be in demand anywhere in the world and they don't all require a degree. There are magazines (U.S. News & World Report) for one that lists these various careers and jobs. Virtually anything in the medical field will guarantee one employment. Nothing wrong with making major career changes as an adult. It's called survival.

YES, THAT IS WHY MY 26 YEAR OLD IS GOING BACK TO SCHOOL TO BECOME A RN. she has a degree in business. But it just does not pay well here.

Yes, that is true. The pay is not great, but the inner rewards are immeasurable.

The fields that are so important to our society is so under paid. such as teachers, law enforcement and fire. So very sad.

I'm seeing how sustainable it is to grow several species used for biomass crops in the irish climate, and to use new types of production practices and fertilization methods, its quite interesting actually. We don't work on Cheese, thats another facility that does food science, the cure for cancer thing, well they have cures for various cancers, but there isn't one cure of course. What do you do oscar, apart from the witty remarks etc?

That depends on where you are, my daughter left teaching 6th grade to have a family and when she left she was making $65,000 a year plus tremendous fully paid benefits, not bad when you consider two months plus off each year.

Full time, i have the pleasure of doing something that gives me great satisfaction....Taking money from rich people.

My brother is a course Bookmaker and race-horse owner. We travel around the country courses. He has a regular pitch in the Royal enclosure at Ascot once a year and it marvellous taking money from the toffs. The Cheltenham gold cup is another good event for fleecing snobs. I had the great pleasure of seeing 'Paddy the Plasterer win recently'.

We used to come your way as well. I have done Leopardstown course, The Irish Grand national etc and my brother comes to Ireland to buy his Greyhound racer pups.

Part time, i sit on the Housing commitee. I was on local council until very recently, then resigned. I also chair two resident action committee's. :p:p:p

Nothing wrong with being a scientist as long as the specialty is in an employable area.

It will be a slow process. i wish i could remember his name. he has won 2 Nobel prizes for economics. he said that it will get worse. before it slowly begins to get better.

I kid I kid... you are probably right about the mechanic. my husband works on off shore natural gas and oil platforms. He has 16 years before he can even consider retirement. he has always felt safe. in his field. not many young men. want a DIRTY job. that you have to work hard at. If the oil and gas holds

I hadn't realized how earth worms can be so significant to the prosperity of our crops until I'd watched a program about that very same fact a few weeks ago...

And from what I've read, particular worms can withstand the utmost diversity of temperatures familiar to human knowledge...

But it is interesting none the less...

Of course you're probably doing things much more complex than playing around with earth worm farms...:wah:...

She will be glad she did Nurses are in high demand in any Hospital across this country. They can pick where they want to live and the will pay to move them plus the salaries are excellent. They will court her like she was a star to get her to work in their Hospital. Good move on her part.

i agree. it is one of those QUICK courses she can get her degree in less time. I know she wants away from Cajun land.
