Voter fraud!!

Post by cars »

So yesterday we went to visit my MIL, in her assisted living home. She lives there with 84 other residents, and they all just "voted"!!! From what it sounded like, she and many of her friends were duped by the political officials running the election there. (They took advantage of the elderly, and got them to vote their way) My MIL is "91" & forgetful, & easily led. (All the residents there are) Anyway she said she wanted to vote for McCain! But after talking to her, we found out she didn't even know what party McCain belonged to.

"They" didn't even tell her he was a Republican. All her voting life she voted Democratic. So, consequently, she voted Democratic! And was very upset when "we" told her she actually voted for Obama the Democrat!!

Many of her friends said they also did not correctly vote for thier desired candidate!

And this is just one of thousands of homes like this accross the country, where "They" go to get the elders votes!!! "Their Votes" count, even though they don't really know who they're voting for! :-5

To be fair there probably is a fair amount of confusion there anyway.

I dont mean your mom in law cars but Ive spent enough time in nursing homes to know that some patients think the coat rack in the corner is their 5th grade teacher.

Precisely, (Actually this was in an "assisted living home", so not quite as bad off as in nursing home yet) and yet these same people are "voting" to elect our next prez!!! Yes, it's their "right" to vote, but it just seems their votes are being controlled/guided by other's goals!!

If that is the case and the resident has been coerced then let the charges be brought.

The resident would probably have to articulate fairly well that coersion existed though.

Report them, it is voter fraud.

I filled out my husband's absentee ballot, and marked the candidate he wanted. I never mark anything else, like the propositions or representatives.
