before we begin i would just like to issue an apology to carrolly and other FG members for my last posting reply.
i allowed myself to be wound up by an idiot who shall remain nameless .
this was totally unprofesional and unforgivable and i apologise to all except the fool trying to wind me up.
that said heres tonights big bang.
A LOCKSMITH slammed cops yesterday after he was forced to drive a suspected shoplifter to the nick himself when they ignored FOUR 999 calls.
Mark Ward, 41, and an employee took it in turns to guard the burly Russian for TWO hours.
The last time he rang police, they told him: “We’re busy. You can let the man go if you like.”
Dad-of-three Mark said: “It was ridiculous. What use are the police if they won’t even respond to a 999 call?
“It makes you think the only way is to deal with crime yourself.”

after all the police xmas party is coming up and they need to raise the money for the booze and entertainment
as our hard working policemen have all that paperwork to fill in and targets to meet.

This was down to the fact that on another thread, Pantoandy posted that i was talking tripe. This i assume was because some-one dissagreed with what he said. In return to him telling me i was talking tripe, I told him that he was talking bollocks.

I also asked Pantoandy if he actually knew of any pakistani or muslim people and to supply a link to back up his claims of law in Pakistan. He obviousley couldn't do this and got quite silly.
Then when i further dared to disagree with his opinion on the Russell Brand thread, he threw all all his toys out of his pram, accussed me of trying to get him banned, and hasw now posted that i am an idiot on this thread.
Pantoandy, we don't carry on like this on FG. I certainly had no view to get you banned, infact i even sent you a message yesterday to you page.
Very often on here we will call each other names but only if it is in humour. When you start writing what you just have.. then if you carry on, you will get banned by the mods.
If you don't like any-one disagreeing with your posts or a thread you have introduced, then the simple answe is, don't do it.
This is a forum for people's opinions, not yours alone. If you can't debate rationally then maybe you should give it up.
If you call me an idiot in malice again, i will complain to the mods about you.

Now pantandy. In response to the thread you have posted.
This happens with the police. When you dial 999 and are put through, you are asked the nature of the incident. Shoplifting in Britain is a class C crime. The law states that is you are caught with under £60 worth of goods, it only warrents a caution.
Phoning 999 again and again will not get a car screaming to the site. 999 calls are only ever treated as emergency unless you are lucky enough to have a squad car sitting around doing nothing.
All stores should or would have their nearest police stations direct number to call for shoplifting. They should not even be calling 999.

When i first came on FG, i had a very brutal introduction. You can not take another person's opinion so personally or there is no point of a forum. Just because some-one dis-agree's with you, you don't say "Well, don't come on my posts".

It would be ridiculous if we all dictated who posted on our threads and who didn't.

As he's very new, i sent him the post and a friendship request two days ago. If he doesn't want to respond, then fine, i have done my bit. Maybe he judt doesn't realise he has two notifications from me.
Panto....... if you go to the top of this page when you are logged in, on the right hand side, you will see it say's "private messages" and it will tell you how many notifications you have. If you click on that, it will take you to your profile or your inbox if you choose that. You can then read the messages.

The biggest complaint in the police is attendence time. We are all aware here that our police are dreadfully under funded and manned. that is until you park up on the kerb for 2 mins while you run into a shop. then 3 of the bastards appear from no-where. :wah::wah:

Here it's a nightmare. If you have an on-going problem, you get one cop one day, a different one the next day, a different one the day after and it's like seeing different Doctor's and telling a new one your symptoms all over again. The Inspector's are the same. It's better to phone HQ and they check on the computer for you weather they are actually in or not.
As for the crime figures, i'm not an expert but i am sure it's the other way round here. For example, i was at one of our police open residents forums recently and the policespokesidiot was telling us he had caught the most prolific graffitti artiste in our area. He got him to admit to 30, yes, 30 other offences. No wonder he was smiling. At the end of his duty, he can account for 31 crimes solved and that looks brilliant on his record.
Our officers are target driven by government. We are seeing more and more 'malicious arrest' cases being brought by the public against officers who will arrest without sufficient evidence just to get their performance targets.
Our government is very crafty about keeping the true crime figures down and trying to persuede the public that crime is on the decrease when it's not, it's rising.
Government has in effect 'de-criminalised' criminal damage now. It is now not brought before the courts and police issue a fixed penalty instead. This has caused outrage as if the criminal is not brought before the courts, it does not give a judge or magistrate the chance to compensate the victem. Magistrates are also complaining now that they do not have enough cases and are looking at up to 3 days a week with no work.
Also, the catogorie's of crime are changed to make it seem that the figures are coming down. For example, it has recently been leaked to press that 4,000 actual bodily harm cases were deliberately labelled as 'common assault' to keep them out of the courts. Apparently, it now depends on how much your attacker hurts you as to which catogory it will sit in. For examble, if some-one hits you in the face and breaks every bone in your face, they will be charged with Grevious bodily harm or actual bodily harm. If your really lucky and your attacker comes at you with a bottle but by sheer miracle, you are only nicked, he gets off with common assault and a caution. :-5:-5

The only real target quota, is like an individual station will set a target of say, 300 breathalisers for a month. If you're not drinking then you dont' have anything to worry about ...............but in saying that a lot of other offences are found this way , warrants, stolen goods, drugs.
And I agree the politicians are great at fixing figures.
what I've found interesting is it's only now we are begining to see video cameras in our police cars ................do you know everywhere that the camera has been installed accusations of police brutality have come down? I don't mean police are actually brutalising people but the accusations have all of the sudden stopped. People now know they cn't willy nilly go around accusing police of ESD complaints. I think that's funny.................Police have been asking for these cameras for years ..........But they couldn't afford it :rolleyes: :-5
I think our guys now have these camera's or at least the speed traffic cops do. I agree as well that cops pulling over a suspected drink driver will find all manner of stuff.
We had a top police chief here suspended because he refered to a BMW as 'A black man's wheels'. Political correctness again. Even the black guys call then that themselves and thy are bloody proud of it????
I was looking after my hubby's boss's take-away one night. I locked up at around midnight and a young woman came staggering towards me. She said she had been hit on the back of the head in the pub next door. I had a look and sure enough, she had a nasty injury and with that she passed out infront of me. I put her in the recovery position and realised she was quite heavilly pregnant. I called 999 and asked for police and ambulance. The ambulance was there in minutes and started putting her neck into a brace. I could hear screaming sirens coming up the main road so i stood on the corner to attract them thinking the police were for me and this woman. No, it turned out that they were in persuit. It was one of the most amazing things i have ever seen. I found out from the cops that they were doing 110 mph up this main road. One minute i was watching this squad car coming toward me and the next, it just dissapeared. There was a god almighty bang and clouds of smoke only yards away from me and when the smoke drifted away, i realised that the car had lost it, crossed the road and ploughed into a brick wall. I even had bits of headlights embedded in my top. At first, i was totally stunned. I forgot all about the poor woman being attended to by paramedics. I went down to the police car thinking OMG, they have to be dead. Thank god for air bags that's all i can say. The driver cop had two broken wrists. Next, about 6 other police cars arrived in seconds. Once i knew the cops were o.k., i just don't know what possessed me to do it but i started taking photo's of the car on my phone camera. they didn't like that!!!! I have a pic some-where. I'll see if i can find it for you. This squad car was all over the road and how the cops got out alive was just a miracle.
