Candle Scents - what are your faves?

Just bought a Yankee candle called Cinnamon stick. What a waste of moola. Can't even smell it. Ok, what are your greatest fave flavors to smell and who do you think puts out the best candles?

Yankee Candle isn't half bad and I agree Cinnamon Stick is a waste of money. My favorite scents I would have to say would be Vanilla and Morning Glories

Hey Ducky,:-6

I don't buy any candles except "Yankee Candles." I love Honeydew Melon and Ocean Water. My all time fav is "Midsummer's Night."

I once had a party and there were about 15 couples. Most stayed overnight in local motels. The women loved the Midsummer's Night aroma. The next day when they all left, the women talked hubbies into driving them to the candle store which they passed on the way home.

When I went into the store a few days later, I told the owner about my party, and he said "oh, that's why they all loved Midsummer's Night candle.....duh...and he never gave me a discount on my new purchases:-5

He thinks that women love the candle so much because it smells like a man's good cologne:p

Love honeydew melon and the newbie is Blueberry Scone. Yummy. Ok, I'm off for the day, and can't wait to see the responses on this silly thread.:-4

Yankee candles are crap. :wah: You're mostly just paying for the name. I can make a candle that same size, that will burn longer and more evenly for just a coupla' dollars. I prefer to use higher quality materials, however.

:wah:

I've stopped buying scented candles, I find that the smell does'nt seem to last very long.

I buy diffuser scents that you put reeds in, it lasts longer and smells nicer.

Reed diffusers are where its at.

They last months and months, theres an enormous selection, they are visually appealing and they really make a guy feel warm and fuzzy when hes come home from conquering the world.

Balsam is real mellow and relaxing and jasmine is very fresh.

Thank you
