I have commented on this in the past and nothing seems to have changed as far as Kiwi drivers are concerned. I noticed it immediately as I went driving about today. Californians are no creepers when it comes to speed and recklessness on the roads, but Kiwi's go one better. I think they have a Death Wish. Hi way fatality stats bear this out. Passing on blind curves, going up hills and passing blind, speed through mall parking lots and just plain assertiveness rather than defensive driving. I will die at some point, but it sure won't be on a New Zealand road if I can help it.

In the post today, speeding ticket, caught doing 40 in a 30 zone, by a manned camera. Fine of £60 and 3 points on my license.
Do you have to turn your license in for 2 months?

My take and this IMO, is when you guys got slammed by Katrina, the government really screwed up your state. They still can't account for where half the moola went. Total disgrace.

Hopefully Obama can make it go a little faster. I was at the beach celebrating my sister's birthday on that day the storm hit. We were stunned by the news coverage & how that moron Brownie reacted to it. If I'm to understand, he went to dinner and blew it off? Just blown away by that whole admins reaction. How ignorant.
