i don't like thrift shops or garage sales for buying clothes, call me a snob but i'm not gonna wear anyone elses clothes! :D but i do go and look for dishes and things to add to my collection, i collect pink depressionware glass if you've ever heard of that.

well my grandmother had a huge set of it and whenever any of the children got married and left home she gave them some of it, there were 9 kids so it got split up pretty good, so i've been going to any auctions of their personal property that they have whenever any of them pass away and buying back what they had, plus i had an aunt who gave me hers, i have also bought several pieces from antique sales and stuff, so i've got somewhere around 20 pieces so far, not a big collection yet.

Hope i collect dolls. I am searching for 2, Shirley Temple and Scarlett O'Hara. My last great finds were a W,c, Fields doll. and Mae West.:)

i told this story on another thread a while back but when i joined FG i was wanting to tell people about my miracle story of having Jacob after 13 years of infertility, when i was trying to decide on a name i thought maybe my story will give people HOPE and Jacob was born in 2006 so i came up with Hope6. :-4

but if you want you can just call me Rhonda, that might be easier! :D

living here on the farm i was a real tom boy too, but i also played with dolls! :wah:

i didn't play house with my dolls though, i would line them up on the couch, tape a piece of construction paper on the wall for a blackboard and play teacher! :wah:

my momma always said that was my calling, that i was born to be a teacher! :thinking:

i've still got my dolls from when i was little! :wah:

i used to have a car and a tractor i remember! but i spent a lot of time outside playing with the animals! :wah:

My daughter is born also in June hates dolls. Used to cut off all of Barbie's hair and if she could manage it, throw them on the roof.:wah:
